So it JF gonna live on as the dead server that it is or is it going to be deleted or something new gonna happen for JF?
Well afaiu, the payment for running the server isn’t really high for John. My guess is still that John keeps the server running for sentimental reasons and for whenever he’s bored and so experiments with LUA stuff. So the server is technically not dead, but if it comes to playerbase it is. The playerbase can either stay dead or can live up again, but that’s up to the players by joining the server more regulary. Adding new stuff to the server is one way to improve that, but also by making events and spreading the word is a good point to start of. Over the last weeks i do have seen an increase of players, so that’s really important to hold on. For example, simply greeting new players, help them with the content the server has to offer and a few other things. In that way, those players feel more reason to join the server the day after. I know, restarting a server requires some effort, but if you see the results in more players that join the server is satisfying. It’s not up to one person to make it happen, but everyone has a part to play in the end. What do you think what will help? What are your suggestions? Our Discord group is one platform to discuss such stuff. As we all know, the game is old, so it all must come to the real enthusiasts. Players that still love the GTA: SA game for what it is today. The official MTA forum is also a place you can get more involved in the game. And besides, all the people there are enthusiasts, scripting, designing, mapping and whatnot because they want to be a part of the community. I don’t say you have to apply for a staff function within the MTA Team, but simply show your interests in MTA itself. John’s server had his up and down periods in the past too, so no, i would not call the server beyond “repair”. I made the FB group and site for example with the main reason to get more people involved in our community, but it doesn’t mean i have post all the time for the rest of you.
If you want to be more involved, take your peddle and help the boat cross the river.

About growing the server, people who join JF are mostly kids who annoys people including staff and mostly doesn’t talk English. And there aren’t many people who know about MTA or even like GTA: SA anymore, most people i know play SA:MP and realy don’t give a crap about MTA.
Facebook group isn’t active it seems, discord is more active between players who played for a long time.
We’ll wait for more updater N0rt0x.

Hmm, well i have somewhat different experiences with the players joining the server lately. Like 66% do speak English. Players annoying players is something staff members have to take care off. And about the Facebook group, you don’t have to post a whole story what you enjoyed about during your logged time. A printscreen or positive feedback is enough.
So, I played on this server in 2014
that was the last time
but,
today i opened the game
ma5t3r or Ham5ter left
and the server is dead now
i still remember when the third admin (idk his name)
banned me for killing him again and again

what the fuck is happening and why the server is dead?

First: Ma5ter and Ham5ter didn’t quit for good, they come online now and then.
Second: The server may appear dead to you because you went out for a long time. In fact the server is becoming alive again because i monitor the server activity daily.
Thirdly: You are refering to me, as we had this conversation on IRC earlier today. As long you don’t behave like a cunt anymore everything’s fine. My apologies for me not remembering why i “banned” you back then, because it’s a long time ago. But i’m sure those were valid reasons.
If you are about to play here regulary again, it will certainly help growing the server activity overall.
