Repost: Breakable objects

How about an extra cmd for offedit: /mbreak, which toggles breakable objects actually to break or not.

Yes the skin no longer crashs the server.

@JohnFlower, any progress on this?

Hmm maybe. Perhaps Levi could give us his point of view on this, as he did most on the offedit script.

I added mbreak, but it doesn’t work on breakable objects. I think this is what we discovered, hence why it was never implemented before.

I only tested object 1234.

I can do all the things mentioned there, but it’s pointless if it doesn’t even work.


Can you test mbreak on other breakable objects? I don’t know which models they are.

I tested on 1290 (lamppost) and 1478 (post box)
Both didn’t break by gunfire but 1290 was still affected by car hit but broke differently.
(It drowned for 75% into the ground and was no longer static but didn’t dissapeared)

I’ll test with some other objects later on…

1290 was probably a dynamic object affected by physics?

Ok. They get frozen now too. I’ll work on saving the maps with breakable shit later.
